“Creating Calm” is a Mindful Art Workshop Series taught by Artist and Instructor, Jessica Snowden. Each is a stand-alone class yet can be taken as an ongoing practice to refocus your mind to find more peace using different art activities.
About this Workshop:
Motherhood is full, beautiful, and often overwhelming—and this workshop offers a moment just for you. In this gentle, supportive space, we’ll combine guided journaling with simple, expressive art to help you slow down, reflect, and reconnect with yourself.
Through thoughtful prompts centered on the experience of motherhood, you’ll explore your thoughts, emotions, and intentions, then bring those reflections to life using color, words, and creative design. The result is a meaningful, personal piece that can serve as a reminder of what you need, what you value, or where you’re heading.
No art experience is needed—this is about expression, not perfection. Come take a breath, make something meaningful, and enjoy a little creative calm.
About the Instructor
Jessica Snowden has been an active producing artist since 2006 but creating all sorts of items and projects from a very young age. She became interested in the healing nature of the creative process while going through a series of challenging life events that left her unable to completely communicate what I was dealing with. Though she loves the process of journaling, there are some thoughts she did not want written down and realized she could still process her ideas without them being available for others to read.
She has taught art classes to all age groups from preschool up to adult ages for over 20 years in various types of mediums, materials, themes, and class sizes.
