“Sea of Calm” Mindfulness Art Workshop
Drawing repetitive patterns in a theme of the water, waves and bubbles allows students to have a relaxing activity, encompassing the beauty of nature, which helps them to slow down and refocus. Finishing up the artwork with coloring or painting your design is a calming and satisfying way to complete your project.
Artist and Instructor, Jessica Snowden, has developed Creating Calm, a welcoming art class series designed to help you explore creativity without pressure or perfection. Each lesson gives students the opportunity to look at what they’d like to create with gentle encouragement and guidance.
All materials provided.
Ages 14 and up

About the Instructor
Jessica Snowden has been an active producing artist since 2006 but creating all sorts of items and projects from a very young age. She became interested in the healing nature of the creative process while going through a series of challenging life events that left her unable to completely communicate what I was dealing with. Though she loves the process of journaling, there are some thoughts she did not want written down and realized she could still process her ideas without them being available for others to read.
She has taught art classes to all age groups from preschool up to adult ages for over 20 years in various types of mediums, materials, themes, and class sizes.
